LONESOME IS THE RIVER

A drive through the concrete streets 

And hollow boulevards

The lights are brokenly yellow

I need one crossing to stop

          So much pain is there behind me

          Now I can speak loose and freely

A walk near the central drugstore

A thought of dropping by

I need a specific cure

There works the girl I like

          I wonder if she’s seeing someone

          My each and every bridge is torn down

          Lonesome is the river tonight   (2X)

It would be great if I met her

On the New Year’s Eve

And after that, I hope 

At least twice a week

          So much pain is there behind me

          I burn my bridges down so easy
